God can do anything, you know -

far more than you could ever imagine or guess

or request in your wildest dreams!

He does it, not by pushing us around but working within us,

his Spirit deeply and gently within us. Ephesians 3:20 Message

Dear Father,

Thank you that you are the king, creator and sustainer of all things

but also the lover of our souls.

When we feel overwhelmed by our own needs

and the needs of a broken world,

remind us that you’re BIG, you love us and you’re in control.

Where our plans have seemed to collapse,

help us to remember your promises and stand firm.

Help us to ‘see beyond’ this crisis,

look for your purposes and follow your lead.

Holy Spirit, guide us as we struggle to pray;

please pray through our hearts and lives.

Your plan is always the best plan

and you keep all your promises.

Thank you that you are able to do immeasurably more

than we could ask or imagine.
