This is the confidence that we have in approaching God:

that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask -

we know we have what we asked of him. 1 John 5:14

Our Father,

We pray, if it is according to your will and purpose for us,

that you weaken and disable the CORVID-19 virus,

stopping the spread and defeating the pandemic.

Please bring swift discoveries of new vaccines and treatments.

Thank you that what the enemy intended for harm,

you use for good:

for the rebuilding of local communities,

for showing us the true value of our National Health Service,

for the honouring of those who serve in the least well paid jobs

and for the blessing of family life in lock-down.

We pray that the numbers of those infected would decline rapidly

and that many, many people will know you as their Father

for the first time.
