Building project update, October 2022

Four years ago we started an adventure of making more space for those who weren’t yet part of our family. We were running out of space in our buildings so we had a gift day and thanks to people’s generous and sacrificial donations we raised an astonishing amount of money to invest in our facilities.

 The first phase of the work was building the extension to Warehouse 7 which was completed in the summer of 2021. It’s such an incredible space and been used for all sorts of things including a weekly café, Alpha courses, kids work on a Sunday, Newcomers meals, social events, and much, much more.

 Phase two of the work is to join both warehouses together to give us a larger sanctuary space and more breakout rooms that will be used for things like kids and youth work, and Connect Groups. If you watch Andy’s video below, you’ll hear that we are pressing pause on this work for the time being. With the cost of living crisis, the increases in building costs, and now that we have two morning services, we think it is wise not to start the next phase of building work just yet. We will be doing some improvements to Warehouse 5 to make that space the best it can be until the next phase.  In the meantime, we will continue to seek to build God’s kingdom and to see God as he leads us on this adventure.
