AGM & Mission Initiative Roll

Annual General Meeting

Every year, in October, we will hold an Annual General Meeting. This meeting is an opportunity for everyone who call Soul Survivor Watford home, to gather and hear about all-things church. We look back over the last year, look ahead to all that is coming up, hearing from trustees and staff team, and spend some time together asking and answering your questions. Finally,  there is a chance to hear about other things that are happening within the Diocese of St Albans, the Watford Deanery and more.

At the AGM we hold Trustee Elections. This is an opportunity to vote in one person from within the church congregation who will be there to help govern the church and speak into it based on their standing within the family, rather than (just!) their skillset.

Mission Initiative Roll

If you consider Soul Survivor Watford your home church and are eligible to join, we would love to encourage you to complete an application form.

You don't need to be on the roll to be a part of the community, but doing so offers you and us, a greater opportunity to have a voice within the Church of England. If you would like to stand for a position on the Board of Trustees, you need to be registered on the Mission Initiative Roll.

People who sign up to be part of the Mission Initiative Roll are also able to vote in our Elected Trustee Elections that happen each year at the AGM. As we are part of the Church of England, the Mission Initiative Roll serves as our official register that determines the number of representatives we have at Deanery Synod and the wider structures of the Church of England.

To be on the Soul Survivor Watford Mission Initiative roll (which is different to ChurchSuite) you need to have worshipped at the church regularly for at least the last six months, be baptised and at least 16 years old. If you would prefer to complete a paper form, or if you have any questions, feel free to email us.
