Tuesday 5th May

Be at rest once more, O my soul,

For the Lord has been good to you. Psalm 116:7

Breathe on me, Spirit of God,

as I spread my hands before you,

holding in them the lost, the desperate and the dying,

holding those you have given me to love in my praying,

holding in them my joys, my hopes and my sorrows.

In a world charged by frantic anxiety, help me to rest in this brief moment,

to breathe in your Spirit of refreshment

into my body, mind, soul and spirit.

Draw me deeper into the pilgrimage

through this dark valley and it’s shadows,

clinging to your love

which is my security.

Amen.
